Team Toledo - Adopt A Street
Date: May 2nd, 2009
Time: 8:00am
Place: Tam-O-Shanter Parking lot
7060 Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, OH
Contact: Glenn Luther
Description: Team Toledo participates in the Adopt-A-Street program by adopting the section of Sylvania Ave between Holland-Sylvania and King Rd. This is the stretch of road in front of Tam-O-Shanter and Olander Park, and is also a major part of the Sylvania triathlon course. Provided will be: gloves, garbage bags, vests, and even those giant tweezer things (so you don't have to bend over to pick-up stuff). The more people show up, the faster it goes. We're usually done in less than an hour. The ground is soft and wet in the morning, so bring your boots for the cleanup and your running shoes for after. There's usually a group of people that runs after.

Community Service - Helping with Adopt-A-Street counts towards community service. If you or someone you know is required to do community service, this is easy. Some local schools give credit for doing community service.
