Toledo Road Runners I280 4 Mile Bridge Run
The I-280 Bridge run is on! The Run the Skyway 4 Miler will be on Saturday, June 23 at 12 Noon. It will follow the Ribbon Cutting that starts at 10:30 am. A simple one page entry form is being mailed to the TRRC members as part of the Monthly magazine on Thursday. The on-line registration will be up on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Active.com The TRRC website at www.toledoroadrunners.org will be updated by Friday, June 1, 2007. As soon as that happens anyone can download the entry form.

This one-time race will have a unique format. Due to the sheer size anticipated, I can not time it in a regular manner. Instead of spending a large amount of money on chip timing, I instead am spending the money on medals and gifts. Here is the format.

I will time and score only the first 100 male and females. I will give a special award to first male and female. The top 50 male and females receive a special limited edition Libby Glass Bridge paperweight. The first 1000 (one thousand) finishers receive a special medal. The next 3000 finishers receive a certificate. All entries will receive a t-shirt. There will be water support on course, split times and finish line clock displays.

The race starts at the Summit YMCA, crosses the river on the old I-280 Bridge then climbs up the ramp to northbound to cross back over the river on the new bridge. 2.1 miles of the race is on the new bridge. The race exits at Galena Street then return back to the Y.

Any profit from the race goes to the Bridge Memorial.
