- Who was Lou DeGross?
- Why should I "Dash 4 Cash"?
For many years, Lou DeGross has been a regular figure in the lives of many
people – whether it be working the halls and courtrooms of the Justice Center
and U.S. Bankruptcy Court on behalf of his clients, officiating on the soccer
fields and basketball courts throughout the area, or volunteering countless
hours at his home parish, St. Charles Borromeo in Parma, Ohio. These activities
have ground to a halt in the last couple of months as Lou was forced to devote
all of his energy to the biggest challenge of his life – battling pancreatic
cancer. Lou, with his wife, Lori, his four young children, his parents and
brothers at his side, unfortunately lost his battle on September 6th to this
most unkind disease. It has exacted a toll physically, spiritually, emotionally
and financially on all involved. Many people have asked what they can do to
help. First and foremost, Lou and his family need your prayers and spiritual
support.
Second, the need to help the family with the ever-mounting expenses associated
with his care and treatment is critical, so friends of Jeff and Lou are
organizing the "Dash for Cash" prediction run scheduled for October 28th at
Wildwood Metropark Pavilion. All proceeds will go to Lori and the kids.
